MyJobStreet - JobStreet English Language Assessment
I had nothing to do this morning so I updated my account in Jobstreet.com. First, I took the English Language Assessment. This is a 40-item test to measure an applicant's English ability. There were ten questions in each category: conversation, grammar, vocabulary and comprehension.

My One Week Burpday! 有り難うございました。,
I consider my 29th birthday as one of my most memorable birthdays because :
1. It's my last among my " twenteens".
and
2. It was my longest birthday celebration.
My husband pampered me a lot. He gave me a lot of stuff from the actual date until Sunday, June 23rd.
He gave me this mag, "Good Housekeeping". I was very happy because he made me feel that I'm a mom who needs to learn more about housekeeping where I am not really good at.

RA 10172 and My (Mis)adventures (Part 3: Race against Time )
February --- I talked to my parents
about their upcoming summer vacation and they told me that they had
planned to spend the first 5-7 days in Davao (dad's hometown) and the
other 5-7 days in Misamis Oriental (mom's hometown) . Since I was not
really close to my relatives and I did not have any idea where to get
the necessary documents, I had decided to file a leave of absence for
two days (April 22-23) coinciding the days that they would be
spending in Misamis Oriental. I chose Air Philippines (now
PalExpress) and paid three thousand pesos for around-trip ticket from
Manila to Cagayan de Oro and vice Versa.

Dear Self, Happy Birthday!
It's my 29th birthday. Two more years
and I will be one of those who are “lampas na sa kalendaryo”. Oh
well, being 29 doesn't mean I have enough knowledge. This age is not
a guarantee that I am smart enough, because there are things that I
still can't understand.
I can't understand why most people hide
how old they are and hate broadcasting their date of birth because
for me, celebrating one's birthday is such a blessing. I don't feel shy
to remind my friends that

GOAL CHECK
June.
The sixth month of the year.
The month when florists, hotels,
wedding suppliers, churches, gown factories and make-up artists have
a lot of customers.
The month that every bride dreams to
get married to their partners.
The month that most students hate.
The one that marks the start of rainy
reason in our country.
And...
My birth month.
Yes, I was born on Monday, 18th of
June, 1984.

Tips in Filing Petition for Correction by Virtue of RA 10172
- Plan ahead. This is necessary especially to those whose place of birth is far from where they are currently residing. Book your trip ahead of time to avail promos or discounts to minimize transportation expenses. Allot enough (or more) time and expect the unexpected because we have to deal with government officials who would sometimes say “Balik na lang kayo bukas, the day after the next, and so on”, like I myself had experienced. It would also be helpful not to file for a petition of correction on ELECTION SEASON and after regular/special holidays for obvious reasons.
- Research. I mentioned in my previous post that the provision and implementing rules and regulations of this law did not mention any specific requirements. The statements “At least 2 public or private documents to support your claim”, “Earliest School Record”,

RA 10172 and My (Mis)adventures (Part 4: The Ordeal )
April 20-21 (Saturday and Sunday)--this
was the longest and the most boring weekend for me. That was also the
most stressful one because I couldn't help but to think of what would
possibly happen to my job. I just had filed for two days leave of
absence, and now I had to be absent on Monday, the following week.
April 22nd- Monday.
I was accompanied by my two cousins to
go to the Municipal Health Center to have the Municipal Health
Officer's (MHO) signature on the “Special Medical Certificate”.
